Dakota Blue Richards was born in England. She's most famous for her roles as Lyra Belaqua in the film 'The Golden Compass,' Franky Fitzgerald in the third generations of British teenage drama Skins. Also, she is an present stage performer. Her credits include "Arcadia A Streetcar Named Desire" among others. Richards born in London, and a Londoner of birth, grew up on her home on the Sussex coast. Richards was a student in a couple of acting classes at school, but she received most acting lessons on weekends. Additionally, she opted to skip classes in order to audition. Her first screen appearance as an actor was in "The Golden Compass. Richards' performance was praised by many people, in spite of its lackluster reception to the movie. The following year she debuted on television in the film Dustbin Baby.
